Customer Problem
In the manufacturing and processing industry, there are many robotics and AI-based solutions for handling solid, dimensionally stable raw materials such as metals. The automation of manufacturing or assembly processes in which, on the other hand, easily deformable materials are handled, still poses enormous problems for computers and machine vision programs because the demands on the required computing power are too great. Currently available robots and gripping systems can therefore only inadequately perform such (for humans simple) processes as gripping a towel or piece of clothing. Our technology makes this possible.Business Model
Our business model is based on offering a software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution with a pay-per-use pricing model. This means that we will not provide the end customer with the complete solution (hardware and software), but will only supply the software in a development partnership. Sales, installation of the system at the end customer and maintenance will be handled by experienced system builders in the industry.Technology Description
We are developing innovative control and image processing software that enables robots to predict the behavior of dimensionally unstable materials in real time based on intelligent algorithms developed in-house. At the core of the technology is a unique approach to generating artificial training data for the AI, which is based on high-precision, so-called finite element method (FEM) simulations. Using this novel approach, we can automate a wide range of industrial processes that were previously technically impossible to represent - such as the handling of textiles.Finance Data
